Many years ago, I heard a very successful author speak. His book was #1 for a very long time - I'm confident you would know the book if I told you. He said something during that presentation that stuck with me:
"Decide, in advance, what you are going to do with the money."
That was great advice for just about any endeavor. So, when I sat down to write my book, I decided in advance:
All proceeds of my book will go to help Western NC recover from Hurricane Helene.
If you live in NC, you know how hard Western NC was hit. Hurricane Helene unleashed biblical proportion flooding. A lot of progress has been made, but Western NC still needs our help. They have definitely not fully recovered.
And we now see heart wrenching flooding in Texas. We've also seen more flooding here in North Carolina. Well, the same organizations that rushed to help Western NC, they have rushed in to help Texas too.
I did not write the book to make money. I wrote the book to share some of what I've learned. I think you'll find it is an easy read. It's only ~130 pages with lots of charts. [You know me.
