The month of August got off to a pretty ugly start. But, the second week of August came close to erasing those losses.
So, are we out of the woods yet?
As great as it is to see the NASDAQ closing last week at all-time highs, we must remember that September is coming. And, using history as our guide, September is the most negative month of the year.
In today's market update, we highlight the continued divergence between the largest companies and everybody else. Remember, the largest stocks have an outsized influence on both the S&P 500 and NASDAQ indices. So, while those two indices continue to suggest that "all is well" a look at the evidence underneath the surface says something different.
